a post appears☺ I have been feeling decidedly "uncreative" lately;~( Hoping to change that pretty quick like. This is from another tutorial by  Nicole Hanna She has some pretty awesome video tutorials too. Hoping the mojo returns pretty soon☺

Another quicky post☺ This actually gets me caught up again;~)

Still keeping up and  still spending a lot of time in the greenhouse☺ Peppers, cabbage, cauliflower and some squash in the far back just hangin out til it's warm enough to plant them outside more cauliflower,  peppers and broccoli on the other side here☺ I have the blue totes (where the tomatoes live) set up with a drip system on a timer and the temporary pots with the "outside" plants are on another timer with soaker hoses So far it's working out very well☺ It took a little work to set up the soaker hoses but very worth it. WAY better than spending 1 1/2 everyday watering!

I've been spending a lot of time in the  greenhouse lately, (YAY! baby veggies☺) but I am still keeping up. Considering we are only on Week 7  I would be very sad if I wasn't. ☺ I'm getting more comfortable with this style of wrapping. I don't hold my work with a death grip anymore. lol I also made the beaded chain and I must say that it was  a pain in the ass to scrub all of those little wraps after I put it in the LOS.  If I remember, next time I will tarnish the wire BEFORE  I make all of those little links☺ Still need a lot of practice, but I want to start trying to go for  the more free form style with the larger gauge wire. We'll see☺ Here's a little peek at some of the goodies from the greenhouse.... I started planting seed a little over a month ago. I have several varieties of tomatoes, hot peppers and perennial flowers, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and squash. So far everybody seems to be prett...

I can't even tell you  how much I love this cuff. The wrap is rustic (read: far from perfect☺) It's chunky A little wonky It looks like it would be really heavy But it's not It is seriously comfy ~ fits like a glove☺ Don't you just love that eyeball???!!! THAT my friends is a hand made lampwork cabochon made by the lovely and talented Juli Cannon of Studio Juls ♥ I used copper wire in several gauges: 10g, 16g, 20g and 24g A lot of heating and pounding went into this cuff and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out.

Hey! Look! I posted twice in two days! But this is a quicky so maybe it doesn't count☺ I dunno? I can't tell you how happy I am with how this necklace came out. I honestly don't care if  NO ONE else likes it, I LOVE it and I don't say that about my own jewelry ..... EVER. I used another tutorial that I purchased from Lisa Lynn Barth I used one of my own polymer clay beads I wrapped it using her tutorial and I strung it on viking knit And I am very proud of how it turned out☺ Now, like I said, this post is a quicky. I am off to work on a hockey jersey wearing turtle. He is promised before the end of the month, so I must get busy☺

There is actually a ton of stuff going on around here lately, so I have had stuff to blog about but no time to blog. Go figure☺ I'll have quite a few posts coming up very soon because Bead Soup Blog Party has begun! I'm in the process of creating a post about my partner and her soup! Look for that soon, but for today I only have time to post  my contributions for Week 10 of  The Year of Jewelry Project   This one is really similar to one I did last year. It uses one of my polymer clay beads. This isn't the one I had originally planned on submitting for this week but THAT one is quite a bit more time consuming so it didn't quite get finished. It also uses another one of my polymer clay beads  and copper but looks so, so different. (I am so pleased with how it came out ~ you'll see in a day or two☺) I am just putting the finishing touches on it while simultaneously  trying to finish the handmade components that will...

Ok... I am ready for spring. Anytime now. Really. It only took me 2 ½ hours to get to work this morning. An hour of that was spent getting myself out of a snow berm that I slid into.... in my own driveway:(  The other 1 ½ hours was spent creeping past the numerous vehicles off the road and various tow trucks and police cars along the 45 miles between my house and work.  That being said, in Alaska we still have better conditions this winter  than a lot of the lower 48, so I guess I shouldn't complain. This was my project for Week 9. It's another variation of a Nicole Hanna tutorial, I'm trying to add my own spin on the design. I have a ways to go but I'm getting better. I've spent the last two weeks building 3 different "soups" for this years Bead Soup Blog Party I just have a couple of things left to make and I will be ready to choose one to send when I find out who my partner is. I'm excited! ...

It took me WAY longer than it should have, I'm sure, but the new website is up and running! Wigglebutt Creations Let me know what you think☺ For the YOJP Week 3, I had something totally different in mind but I spent so much time figuring out domain transferring and website building that I did another wire wrapped pendant. This one is sea glass. It is a pretty simple wrap and it went relatively quickly so I was able to post it on time...just under the wire☺ (ha! see what I did there)

I am not "techy". At all. Seriously. Not. I have been asked by friends, family and customers if I  sell my "stuff" online. I do have an etsy store but I have never really sold anything from there. Partly because when I do have items listed I don't really promote them in any way, and partly because I don't really take the time to list very much (photographing, editing, uploading, adding descriptions, etc.) it's time consuming. I have a facebook business page, I'm up to 56 "likes"☺ I don't post to it on a regular basis like I should. I also have a website. It is horribly outdated and honestly, very unattractive~ as in UGLY. Honestly, having all of those different things in different places just added to the feeling that it was all just a real pain to maintain. Too much, too spread out. I finally decided to take the leap into the new and unfamiliar. I have spent pretty much all day yesterday and tod...

Got gutsy and ordered some sterling silver wire☺ I want to make about a hundred variations of this♥ This one, I think, needs a little tarnish☺ Got a ~free~ tutorial, which is also very, very entertaining and humorous from a lovely lady named Angelina Krell. Used it to make this Not liking the 'shiny' so I did a little heat patina in other words, I hit it with a torch☺ and got this. No.... your monitor is not screwed up... The bead is "dyed" howlite  (the tutorial called for a 12mm bead and there wasn't alot in my stash to choose from) and when I torched the piece, apparently it burned off the color. Who knew? But I like it much better! lol! I am almost finished with Week 29 & 30 and then I will be all caught up, for awhile☺

For week 19, I once again did not follow the prompt, which was "Your Favorite Flower". My favorite flower is the "Swingtime" fuchsia  This picture is from 2010 It is just so fluffy and happy looking☺ I still plan on trying my hand at making some polymer clay fuchsia but for week 19, I was busy with a custom order. A new customer of mine had a beach stone that she picked up while overseas many years ago.  It has special meaning to her and she asked if I could "do something" with it. I was a little nervous about whether or not she would like it,  but then again, I always am. She picked it up today and lets just say ~she's a hugger~ WHEW!☺ For Week 20, I did follow the prompt, which was "Made in 10 Minutes" Which was lucky cuz that's about how much time I had. I think I could have gotten one more pair done, but my area is so messed up it took FOREVER to find the copper ear wires, and I ran out o...

This weeks prompt was "Rescued from the Scrap Bin" I have had this teardrop-ish pendant? in my scrap basket for a couple of years. I had tried my hand at creating some mokume-gane and I was squishing up the left over scrap clay and thought Oh! That's kinda pretty.. so I shaped it a little and baked it. Then I thought it looked a little plain and kind of odd shaped and didn't have a clue what to do with it☺ So it went in the scrap basket. I actually pulled it out of that little basket yesterday and decided to practice my wire wrapping. (Nothing like waiting til the last minute) I figured if it turned out crappy it could go right back where it came from☺ I obviously have a long way to go with my 'skills' in wire wrapping But I don't think it has to back in the basket, but I still am not sure where to go with it from here☺ I'll come up with something eventually. lol! I am almost finished with my whole...
