Grandpa's Birthday....

Image
Last weekend I went to my Grandpa's Birthday party. He turned 100!♥ My Mom and my Grandpa at his 100th Birthday Party☺♥ The kiddos just love him and his heart just melts when they are around♥ Last Thursday morning I picked Mom up early and headed to the airport. We flew into SeaTac and hung out for a couple of hours waiting for my sister to fly in from Montana, then it was off to the car rental. You take a shuttle bus a few blocks away to the building that houses all of the car rental companies. We discussed it ahead of time and decided that I would be the one to drive. My sister lives in rural Montana and has never driven in that type of a traffic situation, and my mother... well,  let's just say... um ...it would be a cold day in hell...over and out! So I bit the bullet☺ (My Honey programmed our GPS with all of the addresses I knew we would be going to) We got the rental car, got loaded, we had a bit of a line once we started to ...

Where I belong

Image
I'm back home now.   Where I belong. The "kids" missed me and , apparently so did the hubs☺ It was awesome to see my sis and her hubby  and of course, my Dad.  It has been a while. (Plus it was in the nineties both days ~ LOVE  LOVE  LOVE it) I'll have to make sure I go down there more often and maybe stay a little longer than two days next time☺ It was kind of a whirlwind adventure and I'm glad it's almost the weekend. I'm kinda tired. I uploaded the photos of my FINISHED (yay) bead soup projects before I left (thinking that I might have a chance to put some words with them using the laptop while I was lounging at the hotel in the evenings ~ NOT;~) So after work I will have to finish that post so I am ready for the 'big reveal' tomorrow for The Bead Soup Blog Party Since I can't show you my finished Bead Soup until tomorrow and I haven't had a chance to upload the pics from my trip AND I hate having a post with no pics,  I ...

Leeeavin' on a jet plane

Image
Today I am on a plane. It was a spur of the moment kind of trip. Trust me, the last time I left the state was 2006. The "Fam" 2006 Montana And I got to see these people. I am actually going to Idaho this time. (I was born and raised there) But these three people will all be in close proximity for about a week so I booked a flight and a room and a car. I am so excited! I will only be there for about 2 1/2 days but I am so excited! I am on my way to see (and hug) my best friend in the whole wide world! And her husband.. and our Dad☺ The funnest part ~ Dad doesn't know I'm coming;~)

I Hope You Dance............

Today is my Sister's Birthday I'm not going to say which one, even though I honestly don't think she would mind, cause she is actually pretty totally HOT for her age. I love my sister. Once we had all made it through the  'I HATE YOU' teenage years  alive, we realized having siblings is a good thing. My sister loves being a wife. She absolutely loves being a Mom. She excels at it. She is the kind of Mom  that young women think, or at least hope, they will be  when they decide to have children. She is just the Momest Mom ever☺ And, when her oldest was over there, (He is the handsome young man on the right) ♥ She made it absolutely clear how much she loved being a 'Mom in-law' ♥ Then there's the whole Grandma thing.  You would almost think that her Grandkids "complete" her.  She adores absolutely everything about them. Can't get enough of them. My Sister is fun, she is loving, adventurous, knows more about our extended family tha...

How I Spend My Friday Nights

Image
Thought I would share....... This is my house at (8pm) on an exciting Friday night. I used the flash on this pic, and if you look closely, you can tell that Scooby Doo ( he's the one that has taken the futon as his own, notice the fancy futon cover? ) doesn't like the flash being used, so I tried not to make the same mistake with this guy. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ **As a side note: I know that the cushion on the futon is kinda crushed on one side b ut Scooby Doo DOES like to look out the window." So I flip it and flip it and flip it and ... well you know ☺ **I do hope to have some clay pics to post after the weekend** *** IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MY OWOH POST CLICK HERE **

Have you met the Kids?

Image
Say HI to Lily. She is 8 years old. Lily recently lost some unwanted weight(thanks to a fabulous diet suggested by the vet). She now seems to think we need to be herded. (She tries to push us where she wants us to go.... outside, the cookie cupboard, etc. and she does this with her head.) Nudge, nudge. She also seems to think that paper products, such as kleenex, toilet paper and sometimes paper towels, are one of the major food groups. Her regression to puppyhood is a joy. This friendly looking guy is Scooby Doo. He was born in my dining room. Lily's his momma. He is 6 years old and from this photo, you would never guess that he is frightened of just about everything. Sun light reflecting off of a watch face will send him scurrying from the room to hide in his kenel. He doesn't much care for strangers, but he has gotten friendlier with people he recognizes. The real Scooby Doo thinks he is a 60lb. lap dog and would lick your face right off of your head if you sat still long en...
