Experiments and new goodies☺
I have been experimenting with Art Clay Silver. I love the fact that when you are done, you have an actual solid silver "whatever". My "whatevers" have been pendants, so far. I am so used to using polymer clay, which will not dry out or harden until you WANT it to. This silver clay has be quite a challenge for me. It seems to want to 'crust' over as soon as I take it out of the package. I have been using olive oil to keep it moist but I have alot of practice ahead of me I think. I used a polymer mold that I made last fall for this pendant. It is simple but I like it. I strung it on a sterling silver snake chain. I wanted to try something a little more interesting, so I tried a project from this book. (Lots of neat projects in here, by the way☺) I don't think I like the cording that I used. I may have to re-do this with a cord that is a bit 'beefier". I'm still undecided. I am pleased with the pendant itself. This is ...
