I am officially in love with handmade lampwork beads. Aren't these gorgeous? I got these on Etsy from   Julsbeads I have never owned any lampwork beads and certainly nothing so perty☺ I absolutely love these and my photo does NOT do them justice.  If you are into handmade beads you HAVE GOT TO GO HERE . If you want to get to know a very sweet and funny person, go HERE . She is super full of personality and super generous.   I say generous because look at what else she sent to me! She just sent these along as "extras" and I gotta tell ya that I just can't stop touching this one.  It is definately my FAV!! (Once again, keep in mind my not so great photography skills, this bead is to DIE for!) It is going to have to remain in my possession permanently. At least some of the other beads are desti...

Summer Sherbert

You might remember a couple weeks ago I told you I got this book I got so caught up in playing around with the silver on Saturday and the polymer on Sunday, that I had to put the baby dragons on hold.  They aren't quite ready to hatch anyway=~) These may not look like much just yet, But after a scrub-a-dub-dub and a refreshing dip in liver of sulfer they will be awesome:) These still need to be cleaned up around the edges and varnished to a shiny shine ( I think I've mentioned before, I don't sand:) Aren't these colors yummy??? Once I get these to a finished state where I can start actually putting them together, I will take some decent pictures to post.  Until then, I will show you one I finished last week. This one is faux jade with the oxidized silver pendant. I will get bette...

I used a polymer mold that I made last fall for this pendant.  It is simple but I like it.  I strung it on a sterling silver snake chain.  I wanted to try something a little more interesting, so I tried a project from this book. (Lots of neat projects in here, by the way☺) I don't think I like the cording that I used.  I may have to re-do this with a cord that is a bit 'beefier".  I'm still undecided.  I am pleased with the pendant itself. This is ...
