New Babies and YOJP ~ Week 4

Image
Over the last few weeks I was able to carve out a little time  to make a couple of new babies. I'm happy with how they turned out and I'm itching to make some more☺ And, then there is this..... I know they don't look like much just yet, but they are going to be awesome! You'll see☺ And finally, YOJP ~ Week 4 These are the result of a failed plan and the unwillingness to scrap 1½ feet of sterling silver wire. But they are kinda growing on me☺ I'm a tiny bit behind already this year in the  Year of Jewelry Project  cuz, well... dragon babies, but I should be able to catch up this weekend. I hope☺

just cuz

Image
Just cuz.. I have a ton of different things I want to be working on in the clay  department... and a ton of rings I want to wire wrap and a ton of life getting in the way. And Just cuz.. I have a small blank wall in my bathroom  that I stare at every morning while I'm brushing my teeth and planning my day in my head, which almost always makes me loose track  of how long I have been  brushing my teeth. Thank goodness I have one of those Oral B brushes.   I have one that actually does a weird little  buzz-buzz-buzz every two minutes.  I guess that's to help tell you if you are  brushing long enough but some mornings that little sucker goes  buzz-buzz-buzz three or four times.  Then if I try to remember if I've gotten  the front AND back of the top AND bottom and I can't remember where I started then I do a quick ALL OVER just to be sure. You can laugh, but I haven't had a cavity in over thirty years ☺ Sorry. Back...

just chillin'

I have spent the last several days working, trying to get some rest, and making some more .....leaves☺ I think I am an addict. "....Hi." "....My name is Pat." ~~~HI PAT~~~ "and I can't stop making leaves." These are itty bitty ones that you could use for earrings. I am in love with the color of these. I also experimented with some 'faux wood grain' made a cover for a notebook made some ultra thin leaves. these are colored with mica powders not exactly sure which direction i'm going with this one, but i kinda like it so far. rain and the charmer

Image
The last couple of weeks it has rained and rained and RAINED. Even the farmers in the area are hoping for some sunshine. This year at the Homestead we are having some issues with the grass, but the mushroom "crop" seems to be doing GREAT ;~( Now, what did I do with that saute pan?? ☺ In other news..... I still don't know what his name will be.  I probably won't figure it out until he is done, and he's far from done. But I think he's already turning out to be quite the charmer.

Awwwwwwwww ..... April

Image
I swear, it happens every year.  And every year it's soooooo depressing. Here is Lily and Scoobie Doo basking in what April has once again brought us. Sunshine and 10 inches of new snow. They are predicting snow through the weekend.  yea =( My weekend will be spent playing with the Art Clay Silver that arrived this week and starting some new baby dragons.  I'm thinking young dragons, really young, 'egg' young☺ I have some ideas, we'll see how they play out. I have been enjoying 'mindless' claying this week. My husband got me flowers one year in a clear glass vase shaped like a swan.  I've had this for probably 5 years or longer and I finally decided on a "Faux Jade" to cover it with.  It still needs a good coat of varnish (I don't sand☺),  but I think I like it.

Launched, Listed .... and a favor?☺

Image
If you are a regular, you may remember me mentioning that I was in the process of redesigning  my website.  I knew it was going to be a big undertaking and boy, was it ever!  There are a couple of pages still under construction and of course these types of things are never really "finished".  But, after spending over a month loading adding changing tweaking, I think I like it. ☺ Sooooooo........... If you happen to have some time on your hands, I would love it if you would wander over to wigglebutt.com  and let me know what you think.  I really would appreciate ANY feedback. Well that takes care of the Launched and  favor parts, now for Listed................................ This little lovely is now in my Etsy shop and so is He and so is this  cutie pie Oh,  I almost forgot.  I'm trying out Facebook.  It seems to be all the rage right now.  You would probably laugh if you knew how long it has taken me to figure s...

Done...........

Image
I had hoped to be done with these little fellas by Monday evening, but waking up with a NASTY cold puts a bit of a damper on productivity.  (Just to give you an idea of their actual size, the little bucket stands 2" tall.)  This unfortunate little guy told me his name was Everett.  He's not quite sure how he ended up in this predicament. Unfortunately, no one else was very forthcoming with info. Apparently they are waiting for someone else to give them a name. I would hate to send them out into the world nameless. Can you help?

Weekend W.I.P.

A little group shot of the new kids.  Pre-paint. Hope you're having a great weekend!!

May I Introduce.............

"EYERIS" (Thank you Sonia☺) Eyeris comes to us from the Stringdom Region of Melodia. Everyone in the Stringdom Region is a revered member of 'Thee Symphony Orchestra'. She plays strings beautifully! And she does LOVE her pearls.☺ Jam session anyone?

sneak peek

Image
This little lady hails from Melodia. I have a vague mental picture of her finished self. I'm a little concerned about her feet. Not sure if what I want to do will work. We'll just have to see. I might need some help with a name. We'll get more into that when we all have a better idea of what she looks like she wants to be named. Tootles♥

From the Land of Melodia.

Image
Meet DonYm. He is from the Land of Melodia. It seems that everyone in Melodia is "Born to Play". DonYm hails from the Woodwind Region. I believe that region is up North or maybe it's down South. There are so many different regions in the Land of Melodia, I get confused. We will soon be meeting a lovely resident from the Stringdom Region. My inspiration for our new friend here was this photograph. I first saw this photo on this blog post . This is one of the blogs I found during the OWOH event this year. It is a wonderful blog and Sue of Barton Originals makes the most gorgeous art dolls, fairies and sculptures I have ever seen! Seriously. You really need to check it out! Ok, done gushing..... Back to the photo ☺ When I first saw it I had a vague idea of a really "dark" creature with the hollow eyes like the masks and other features that appeared to be just forming as it emerged from the underworld. Well, obviously this guy wasn't having any of that! He w...
