I knowalot of clayers prefer the natural matte finish of the baked clay,

but I can't resist shiny objects.
Speaking of shiny (or shining), for about 2 months each winter, the sun doesn't go up high enough in the sky to clear the mountains near my house. We go without direct sun for 2 whole months, so you can image how excited I was on Jan. 17th when it peeked in between two mountain tops.It was only there for about 15 minutes, but it means we are heading in the right direction. Winter's on it's way out ( in about 3 more months ).
