Year of Jewelry Weeks 8 - 11

Image
Just a quicky☺ I promised myself I would do some cleaning and organizing  of the disaster area I call my work space this weekend, then I spent most of my day today re-potting tomato plants so I need to get busy on the cleaning☺ Another failed attempt at framing stones, but I got another pair of "organic" sterling silver earrings☺ Seriously dislike trying to make a mirror image, and it shows. HA! Can you tell it's an owl?

Year of Jewelry Week(s) 5, 6 & 7 and green stuff☺

This is me slacking on blogging again~ but I'm gonna give myself a pass.   Just cuz;~) I actually posted all of these to the group    pretty close to when they were due, just not here☺ Some day I will remember to look for the tiny "hairs" from the  scrubby with the mag glass BEFORE I take the pictures. ~sigh~ They have since been removed☺ I'm seriously in love with this piece♥ I made it using a photo tutorial by Anacely Olmedo Hopefully you will be seeing a lot more of this style in the future, using my own designs of course☺ In other news, I planted my tomato seeds, and they were almost all up in the first week! SQUEE!! It's amazing how excited I get when I get to start growing things. I've already had to re-pot some of the pepper starts. But since peppers and tomatoes aren't really quick growers, I decided to plant some leaf lettuce just for the heck of it. January 27 February 13 ...

New Babies and YOJP ~ Week 4

Image
Over the last few weeks I was able to carve out a little time  to make a couple of new babies. I'm happy with how they turned out and I'm itching to make some more☺ And, then there is this..... I know they don't look like much just yet, but they are going to be awesome! You'll see☺ And finally, YOJP ~ Week 4 These are the result of a failed plan and the unwillingness to scrap 1½ feet of sterling silver wire. But they are kinda growing on me☺ I'm a tiny bit behind already this year in the  Year of Jewelry Project  cuz, well... dragon babies, but I should be able to catch up this weekend. I hope☺

Year of Jewelry 2015 ~ Week 3

Image
I promised myself that if I was going to keep blogging, that I would actually share more than just my YOJP projects this year. ( I am kinda pleased with how this one turned out☺)   I want to get back into sculpting more in addition to the weekly jewelry projects, plus, as soon as it warms up enough,  we have a greenhouse to build. (Delivery of the kit was delayed last fall and  we didn't have time to build before the weather got bad)  I am really excited about growing my tomatoes in the new greenhouse,  the peppers will live in the old one☺ So I will have things to share in the coming year, but for now.... just this☺   Oooh... and I planted my pepper seeds this last weekend. SQUEE! I can't wait for things to start growing!

Closing out 2014 and diving into 2015

Image
Wow..... already. The older I get the faster time goes by. For one thing, I can't believe I have had this guy for over 15 years. Remember when this was a thing?☺ Anyhoo... the end of 2014 whizzed by pretty quickly, what with holiday prep and vacation (yay!). I did finish the Year of Jewelry Project again last year. I'm quite proud of myself ~ I'm all about follow through☺ So here are the last 6 projects for 2014. If you have already "liked" Wigglebutt Creations on facebook , you may have already seen these. If you haven't already liked Wigglebutt, what are you waiting for?☺ If you want a closer look at any of these you can click on over to flickr to peruse the individual pics. And now, onto 2015! I was a little tardy on Week 1 of the Year of Jewelry Project 2015 ~ did I mention something about vacation? A seriously AWESOME vacation!  2 weeks on the Big Island with my Honey♥☺   I'm all caught up now☺

My finished project☺...and a tutorial review

Image
Ok, so I showed you this earlier in the week Well..... I finished it☺ YAY! And it didn't take me six months☺ On the more complicated projects, I have a tendency to a) lose interest and set it aside or b) get distracted by another project  and forget about it for a while. Usually b☺ A few weeks ago I saw a picture of this bracelet on facebook  with a link to the tutorial  I bought the tutorial and  ordered the beads and got to work. The tutorial was very easy to follow   even for a novice beader like me. According to the tutorial the tension on the last couple of steps needed to be pretty tight in order for the last rows to sit right. No matter how hard I tried I could not get it to sit right. I'm going to chalk that up to my lack of experience and not the pattern, at least until I make another.  (which I will ~ there are so many gorgeous colors of these triangle beads☺)   My solution for getti...

Year of Jewelry Weeks 45 & 46 and other stuff

Image
Well, it got kinda cold here for a couple of weeks ~ now , not so much:~) Yes..... I took this picture on my way home TODAY  November 18 and it wasn't just a fluke.... for today. It's been this way for a while..... and I am. not. complaining☺ If the wind wasn't so bad at the house  we would be buildin' ourselves a greenhouse. Yes it finally arrived. YAY! It is tucked away in the shelter for the winter. OK, on with it.... Finally finished this one. I don't know why I seem to stall on some  projects when I am so close to the end. lol I really like the slide clasp on this, it's my first time using one of these. I think I will be getting more☺ l I was actually making a byzantine chain maille  bracelet, didn't like it as a solid chain, re-worked it, made a bunch of "links", got side tracked and made these☺  Here's  a little glimpse of what I'm currently working on It's not drivin...
