I like all of these but I'm particularly pleased with Week 14☺ Week 12 and 13 were kind of quicky designs to keep up with the project while spending far too long  trying to accomplish Week 14☺ haha! Usually when I start with a tutorial (which I did for this bracelet) I can't seem to  put my own spin on it without ending up with something that is just horrid. The kind of thing you look at and say to yourself "What in the hell is that supposed to be?" The vague idea in my head seems do-able  but I always seem to end up with "What were you thinking?" "What were you even trying to do?!!!" But I like this one☺ I even tried to finish the ends of the cuff like the tutorial and ended up "trimming" the wrong wire (oops) and had to come up with my own end design with what I had left to work with☺ The focal bead is, of course, made by my absolute fav glass artist Juli Cannon of Juls Beads. Do you ever feel like you have way too many things going on at  once and start feeling overwhelmed  when in fact it is just you feeling like you should be  or want to be accomplishing "x" number of things  and you simply don't have time for all of them? And then you beat yourself up because you can't "do it all"? Oh.... and then there is that full time job thing. Yea..............   I just have to keep reminding myself......... If you think about it, for the most part, the only person you are letting down is You. Give yourself a break! ☺  I've been spending A LOT   of time in the greenhouse. Just a quickie☺

I showed a couple pics of the greenhouse in my last post but this post is all about the plants☺ (And there are lots of pics:~p)  I started planting seeds on Jan 10th Jan 17 The broccoli and cauliflower were the first to start coming up. Jan 23 Jan 26 Time to start thinning and re-potting Feb 2 Coming along fine☺ Feb 2 The perennial flowers are starting to get in it gear Feb 6 Some broccoli, cauliflower, a couple of flowers Feb 6 They all seem to be pretty happy in their hi tech pots (9 oz dixie cups)☺ Feb 6 Feb 6 Mostly peppers and a few tomatoes Feb 6 All of the plants are pretty much constantly being moved around  from tray to tray according to height. ( Think elementary school picture day)   I keep the lights just a couple of inches from the top of the plants at all times. It keeps them from getting all stringy and lanky since they don't have to "stretch" to seek out the lig...

I've been spending a lot of time in the  greenhouse lately, (YAY! baby veggies☺) but I am still keeping up. Considering we are only on Week 7  I would be very sad if I wasn't. ☺ I'm getting more comfortable with this style of wrapping. I don't hold my work with a death grip anymore. lol I also made the beaded chain and I must say that it was  a pain in the ass to scrub all of those little wraps after I put it in the LOS.  If I remember, next time I will tarnish the wire BEFORE  I make all of those little links☺ Still need a lot of practice, but I want to start trying to go for  the more free form style with the larger gauge wire. Well, we are up to Week 6 and I am blogging as regularly as usual. Ha! This one is a matchy-matchy to Week 2. I made it so I wouldn't have so many beads to sort and put away;~) (Still working on that) I really hope to carve out the time I need to actually list a bunch  of items in the store. I've got tons of stuff that I need to get to listing:~)

We are three weeks into the new "The Year of Jewelry Project 2016" and so far I am keeping up. Lol.  This one was hard to photograph. The colors were more true when I took the pics on the necklace display but I was super happy with the way I did the back and wanted to show it. I made a similar necklace for my sister a while back and felt the need to explain to her where the button "clasp" was supposed to be positioned but with this design it is very obvious and it can still be worn with the clasp on the right or on the left. I really love this one☺ Love the way this one came out too☺
