Experiments and new goodies☺

I have been experimenting with Art Clay Silver.  I love the fact that when you are done, you have an actual solid silver "whatever".  My "whatevers" have been pendants, so far.
I am so used to using polymer clay, which will not dry out or harden until you WANT it to.
This silver clay has be quite a challenge for me.  It seems to want to 'crust' over as soon as I take it out of the package.  I have been using olive oil to keep it moist but I have alot of practice ahead of me I think.
I used a polymer mold that I made last fall for this pendant.  It is simple but I like it.  I strung it on a sterling silver snake chain.  I wanted to try something a little more interesting, so I tried a project from this book.
(Lots of neat projects in here, by the way☺)

I don't think I like the cording that I used.  I may have to re-do this with a cord that is a bit 'beefier".  I'm still undecided.  I am pleased with the pendant itself.

This is the picture from the book.  Obviously I have a problem with following a pattern EXACTLY.

And for my new goodies☺
Obviously, I don't have enough projects to keep me busy, so I had to get this little baby so I could learn a little about wire work.

An these two are going to be so much fun to play with!!!

  1. I like both the pendants you created! Much good luck to you as you continue to experiment. :) Theresa
