for a cheeseburger today. Not to "toot" my own horn... but I think these are just so FLIPPIN cute! They are on their way to becoming stitch markers. ( actually , at the time of this photo, they are on their way to the oven) I spent all day mixing colors, and building "burgers", and I absolutely love the way they came out. TOOOT! - TOOOT! Ohh, Uhhhhhmm. Pardon me....... ☺ *** IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MY OWOH POST CLICK HERE ***

How I Spend My Friday Nights

Image
Thought I would share....... This is my house at (8pm) on an exciting Friday night. I used the flash on this pic, and if you look closely, you can tell that Scooby Doo ( he's the one that has taken the futon as his own, notice the fancy futon cover? ) doesn't like the flash being used, so I tried not to make the same mistake with this guy. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ **As a side note: I know that the cushion on the futon is kinda crushed on one side b ut Scooby Doo DOES like to look out the window." So I flip it and flip it and flip it and ... well you know ☺ **I do hope to have some clay pics to post after the weekend** *** IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MY OWOH POST CLICK HERE **

It started out all innocent like. I wanted to try my hand at some buttons. I figured it would be a good opportunity to try some of the surface techniques from this book by Ellen Marshall. (Love it, by the way. What I wouldn't give to take a class. OK, I'm wandering again.....) Back to the buttons. I was trying to decide the best size to make. I wanted to go big but not too big. So I thought maybe I will make something to show as an example of what you can do with these large buttons. I decided to go with crochet, since I am pretty decent with that, thanks to my late Grandma Dubberke. (She tried like hell to teach me to knit, but I sucked so badly that she finally settled on crochet. I don't think I let her down.) There I go again... OK, back to the subject. I started with this neckwarmer and fell in love with the pattern. (Thank you Danielle, for being my model. I know I told you I would crop the photos, but these were just too cute :-) Then this one... Then, I had to ...
