Guitar Gal in the "Flesh"

Here goes my second try to do this post. I seem to have a real challenge with pictures and html. Well, here goes....
This is the list of specifics for my latest commission piece. Inspiration for this piece came from here.

The most important things requested were the red hair and red lips, REALLY BIG red lips.

Mick Jagger big.

And, of course, the guitar. It had to be an acoustic guitar rather than the electric used by "The Guitar Man".

I don't know why, but I felt like she should have large eyes. It took SEVERAL tries to get something that didn't resemble Arnold Schwarzenegger at the end of "Total Recall". You know the scene.. the one where he gets sucked out into the bad atmosphere of Mars, right before the alien device fixes the air, and he's writhing on the ground looking like one giant face bulge.

Well, enough of that.

I think I finally came up with something that looks a little better than that.
She still looks a little bit alien but not as bad as Arnold :)

I also had to do an ear "add on". Originally I had planned on a hair do that would have covered the ears, so I just left them off.
That will teach me, I hope :-)

She's looking a little less alien with some pupils and a couple of body parts.
The second idea for the hair was kind of a half up half down kind of thing, with the back hanging down and a pony tail on the top of her head.

Her style seems to be a little "eclectic" like a lot of teen peeps these days.
After seeing her style of clothes I decided she needed a "do" fit for more of a free spirit.

What do you think?

P.S. Sorry about the weird font changes, but every time I try to fix it, it gets worse.

I'm going to try and appease the blog gremlins and just leave it be.

  1. Hey, sometimes you have to give in to the blog gremlins. Other times you hit them with a frying pan, but sometimes, you have to give in...

    She looks fabulous!

  2. Okay, the last comment, blogger made me use the verification word Moloodoe.

That sounds like some sort of fairy or troll...Might could use that, you could...

  3. Thanks for the encouragement and the "name".
Would work well for a fairy or troll OR maybe a Dragon? We'll have to see :-)
