Dusting off the cobwebs......☺

Image
Apparently I only come  here occasionally to dust off the cobwebs. Well, it is March. More specifically, it is St Patrick's Day. That's not even why I'm here.  I know ... random.😏 I'm here to post a bunch of pictures of stuff I have been doing since the first of the year. I've mentioned before that I do post pics more regularly on Facebook . If you would care to click the ever so convenient link to my page and give it a like you would see stuff a lot more often😉 Ok...... here we go! I'm really enjoying making these! I've been doing a lot of wire weaving. This one is from a Nicole Hanna tutorial. So is this one with a slight variation due to a broken wire☺ And then there is this super cool but quite large birdie pendant☺ I've also been doing some clay work. This time around it was air dry paper clay. Talk about trying my patience! I am not good at waiting. The dry time about k...

It hasn't even been six months yet ~ and already another post☺

HaHaHa! I kill me☺ Just working on being a little more consistent with the blog. ~The sad thing is that I started this draft on Nov. 4th :( 😒 No need to rush a good thing.. right? Doesn't everyone take 6 weeks to write a blog post that consists of mostly pictures????? Ummm...no? 😞 Well, coincidently this necklace took over a year to complete. This is a beautiful lamp work heart by Juli Cannon. Every time I picked it up to work on it, I was at a loss as to what to do next. So I would set it back down;(    Even when I had it all finished something just wasn't right.   One tiny change and all was right with the world. Well, at least with this necklace☺ I made this using a tutorial. Much easier than it looks☺ Then I had an urge to use another of Juli Cannon's gorgeous lamp work focal beads, so I tied some knots☺ I do try to post pictures of new stuff semi-regularly on the Wigglebutt Creations Facebook page. So until I ca...

And then this happened......

I was able to finish a couple more pieces recently. The first one here feels kind of like a little victory☺ I have had the focal and accent beads, and even the thread set aside for more than a year. Every few weeks I would look at it; but that's it... just look. So... a little over a year later, here it is☺ I do like the way it finally turned  out. This one took far too long to wrap because I kept  over thinking the bail. I finally convinced myself to just start doing something - anything and if I didn't like it I could just start over, not that big a deal. Once the pendant was done the rest came together pretty quickly. Still not feeling as creative as I would like,  but I'm moving in the right direction. I can do this!☺

And then.... as if out of no where......

a post appears☺ I have been feeling decidedly "uncreative" lately;~( Hoping to change that pretty quick like. This is from another tutorial by  Nicole Hanna She has some pretty awesome video tutorials too. Hoping the mojo returns pretty soon☺

A little bit of randomness........

I've been keeping busy, how about you? A lot has happened since the last time I posted. I won't apologize (again) about my lack of posting . I guess that is just ME☺ I've been gardening and making stuff (and cleaning - bleh)☺ Let's start with gardening. Gardening in Alaska in February and March starts in the greenhouse unless I was growing icicles☺ I started corn and basil super early. These were planted Feb 4. This is 2 weeks growth. I planted 1 tray each of tomatoes and peppers  on February 19th. The rest of my veggies got planted  on March 1st I will spare you the gory details of the many re-plantings☺   This is where we are today This makes me so HAPPY☺   And the fact that it got into the forties today didn't hurt☺♥ In other news I did finish this ~ Super happy with how this turned out. I love moonstone!   Also finished this~ I am even happier at how this turned out ♥ Then ...

More of The Year of Jewelry.......

Image
I may have mentioned before  that I pretty much suck at that thing known as social media☺ These last few weeks haven't seen any noticeable improvement  to that suck-age:~( And in my last post I kinda sorta promised to be a little more chatty this time around aaaaaaaaaannnndd....... I lied. This is all I have for you today. At least I made a couple of collages instead of inundating you with a hundred bazzillion pictures. Really just seven, but that can seem like a lot. No? If you want to see bigger individual pics you can go here . There are some really nice pieces by some very talented  jewelry artists in The Year of Jewelry Project I'm not making any promises this time but maybe I'll actually have something to chat about next time and maybe next time will be sooner than  2 months from now.

YOJP ~ Weeks 27 - 30

Another quicky post☺ This actually gets me caught up again;~)

Hey Look!............

It's June and I haven't posted in a month and a half. I'M SHOCKED! HaHaHaHa!!! I slay me:~) I am currently only about two weeks behind on the project And I am planning on some ~me~ time this weekend to play catch up. I'm just here today  to throw some pictures up of  what I've submitted up to this point. Later today or tomorrow I will be back with some gardening  and greenhouse updates:) (which is what has helped put me behind, as usual☺)  Apparently I used 26g on one and 28g on the other. LOL.... Can't really tell with the naked eye (obviously) or they wouldn't be different☺

Year of Jewelry Weeks 15 & 16 and a greenhouse pic... or two☺

Still keeping up and  still spending a lot of time in the greenhouse☺ Peppers, cabbage, cauliflower and some squash in the far back just hangin out til it's warm enough to plant them outside more cauliflower,  peppers and broccoli on the other side here☺ I have the blue totes (where the tomatoes live) set up with a drip system on a timer and the temporary pots with the "outside" plants are on another timer with soaker hoses So far it's working out very well☺ It took a little work to set up the soaker hoses but very worth it. WAY better than spending 1 1/2 everyday watering!
