Year of JewelryWeek 42 thru 45

Been on Vaca :-) But still trying to get caught up Still trying to find a good online photo editing program  Tried a wire wrap tutorial Loved it, want to do a few more of these:-) Decided I wanted to accomplish something a little more substantial, and I''m pleased;-)

Year of Jewelry 2015 ~ I'm once again catching up ;~)

Image
I am in the middle of a bit of a Vaca;~) But I am still determined to catch up! (Vaca has been awesome, by the way:) I will have to admit right now that I am very spoiled by the programs on my computer back home. (Specifically PhotoShop, Picasa, PrintShop, etc.... basically all of the programs Honey felt we had to have)  I have spent the last hour trying to make a decent looking collage of the last few weeks of projects using whatever free online programs I can find. No luck, so there are quite a few pics here;~( Ok, here we go.......... I think I'm only about 4 weeks behind now so I'll be caught up in no time;~)

YOJP Weeks 33 & 34

Not going to apologize. I just seriously suck at social media right now☺ I also haven't felt very creative lately. But I have been feeling very antsy about "creating" something. So I have been messing around with some tutorials. Happy with the results so far. Breaking the wire out for the next one ( or more☺).

Year of Jewelry 2015 ....up to Week 32

The YOJP 2015 is currently on Week 38 aaannnnd..... I am not. lol☺ As usual, I will continue to plug along until I am caught up. I am up to Week 32☺

A Salsa Kinda day

Image
Today was a Salsa kinda day Which meant prepping: 12#  tomatoes 6# peppers 3# onions and various other ingredients. After several hours I had 21 pints of salsa☺ Yay! Luckily my buddies came by to help  do some fall clean up in the raised beds  Need to try and finish what they started tomorrow if the weather cooperates☺

Year of Jewelry Week 24

Image
Lots of gardening, visitors and traveling has been happening around here (and not a lot of jewelry making) Hopefully, now that things are calming down a little, I can carve out some time to catch up again;~) Here's Week 24 I bought a blouse to wear to a wedding (part of the traveling) and it came with a seriously awful beaded necklace. I made this to take it's place☺

Update on the greenhouse, better late than never☺

Image
(Warning: Lots of pictures☺) If we are on Facebook together,  you may have already seen some of these☺ Back in April I posted a bit about our progress on  the building of the greenhouse then I got so busy finishing and filling it, then getting the garden beds ready  and planting them, (plus, making many earrings )  that I just plain didn't have time for more updates until now☺ You can see where I left off here . We had to wait about 4 more days before we had a calm "window" of no wind (which lasted about 2 hours)  before we were able to get the roof panels in. After that, I installed the shelving (all by my self ~ yay me☺)  It was snowing outside  But, even with just a little electric heater, (running off an extension cord)  it stayed plenty warm enough to work inside.   Once I had the shelves in, Honey put in the electrical   and then installed a propane heater ~ it's pretty sweet☺ We were just going

Year of Jewelry ~ Weeks 18 - 23

Still finishing up work on the garden beds, so, obviously still playing catch up;~( But I'm almost there☺ Here is the last of the feather earrings that I made for a wedding party. And, FINALLY ~  If I never work with another feather, it will be too soon. Just sayin.

Year of Jewelry ~ Week 16 & 17

Image
Playing catch up again☺ Just been busy with other things☺ These sets of earrings (and the next few I will be posting)   are similar on purpose. I was sent a bag of feathers and asked if I would use them to create several pairs of earring for a wedding party. I have to admit that working with feathers was a challenge and it took more time than it really should have for me  to wrap my brain around how to assemble all of them. But the task was completed (in time for the wedding☺) and I like the way they turned out. So it's all good;~)

Greenhouse progress........

Image
Last weekend we had a friend come out to help (finally) build the greenhouse. Steve and Mike The guys got the lower braces in. Max ( Mike's dog) was closely supervising A LOT of drilling and riveting. I mean A LOT. We got all of the lower wall panels in and broke for lunch. While I was cleaning up from lunch the guys got back at it. When I got back outside they had this much of the upper back complete and they were just wandering around looking for something. They finally stopped looking and told me............... We were missing a panel. And they were seriously afraid to tell me. Each section has 2 panels, a flat panel and a corrugated panel. We were missing the corrugated panel for   that little section next to the fan vent. Can't go any farther without it. We had to call it a day. The plan was to call the greenhouse people on Monday and have them ship it to us. In the mean time we figured we had better inventory the rest of the p
