HaHaHa! I kill me☺ Just working on being a little more consistent with the blog. ~The sad thing is that I started this draft on Nov. 4th :( 😒 No need to rush a good thing.. right? Doesn't everyone take 6 weeks to write a blog post that consists of mostly pictures????? Ummm...no? 😞 Well, coincidently this necklace took over a year to complete. This is a beautiful lamp work heart by Juli Cannon. Every time I picked it up to work on it, I was at a loss as to what to do next. So I would set it back down;(    Even when I had it all finished something just wasn't right.   One tiny change and all was right with the world. Well, at least with this necklace☺ I made this using a tutorial. Much easier than it looks☺ Then I had an urge to use another of Juli Cannon's gorgeous lamp work focal beads, so I tied some knots☺ I do try to post pictures of new stuff semi-regularly on the Wigglebutt Creations Facebook page. So until I ca...

And then this happened......

I was able to finish a couple more pieces recently. The first one here feels kind of like a little victory☺ I have had the focal and accent beads, and even the thread set aside for more than a year. Every few weeks I would look at it; but that's it... just look. So... a little over a year later, here it is☺ I do like the way it finally turned  out. This one took far too long to wrap because I kept  over thinking the bail. I finally convinced myself to just start doing something - anything and if I didn't like it I could just start over, not that big a deal. Once the pendant was done the rest came together pretty quickly. Still not feeling as creative as I would like,  but I'm moving in the right direction. I can do this!☺

Year of Jewelry 35 ~ 37

A very quick quicky this time☺ Been very busy getting the garden and greenhouses  ready for winter. Back to being a couple of weeks behind. Not bad though, considering☺ I'll be more wordy next time, k?

Do you ever feel like you have way too many things going on at  once and start feeling overwhelmed  when in fact it is just you feeling like you should be  or want to be accomplishing "x" number of things  and you simply don't have time for all of them? And then you beat yourself up because you can't "do it all"? Oh.... and then there is that full time job thing. Yea..............   I just have to keep reminding myself......... If you think about it, for the most part, the only person you are letting down is You. Give yourself a break! ☺  I've been spending A LOT   of time in the greenhouse. Absolutely loving the warmth and the smell of dirt☺ tomato plants, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage   Lots of transplanting and watering happening. Everyone is growing so fast! squash, peppers, flowers I've also been having all kinds of ideas of things I want to be making. Not just jewelry, but some ne...

Year of Jewelry continues☺

Well, we are up to Week 6 and I am blogging as regularly as usual. Ha! This one is a matchy-matchy to Week 2. I made it so I wouldn't have so many beads to sort and put away;~) (Still working on that) I really hope to carve out the time I need to actually list a bunch  of items in the store. I've got tons of stuff that I need to get to listing:~)

A new year of "Year of Jewelry Projects" 2016

Image
We are three weeks into the new "The Year of Jewelry Project 2016" and so far I am keeping up. Lol.  This one was hard to photograph. The colors were more true when I took the pics on the necklace display but I was super happy with the way I did the back and wanted to show it. I made a similar necklace for my sister a while back and felt the need to explain to her where the button "clasp" was supposed to be positioned but with this design it is very obvious and it can still be worn with the clasp on the right or on the left. I really love this one☺ Love the way this one came out too☺

Maybe I'll blog more in 2016. Maybe☺

Year of JewelryWeek 42 thru 45

Been on Vaca :-) But still trying to get caught up Still trying to find a good online photo editing program  Tried a wire wrap tutorial Loved it, want to do a few more of these:-) Decided I wanted to accomplish something a little more substantial, and I''m pleased;-)

Year of Jewelry 2015 ~ I'm once again catching up ;~)

Image
I am in the middle of a bit of a Vaca;~) But I am still determined to catch up! (Vaca has been awesome, by the way:) I will have to admit right now that I am very spoiled by the programs on my computer back home. (Specifically PhotoShop, Picasa, PrintShop, etc.... basically all of the programs Honey felt we had to have)  I have spent the last hour trying to make a decent looking collage of the last few weeks of projects using whatever free online programs I can find. No luck, so there are quite a few pics here;~( Ok, here we go.......... I think I'm only about 4 weeks behind now so I'll be caught up in no time;~)

YOJP Weeks 33 & 34

Not going to apologize. I just seriously suck at social media right now☺ I also haven't felt very creative lately. But I have been feeling very antsy about "creating" something. So I have been messing around with some tutorials. Happy with the results so far. Breaking the wire out for the next one ( or more☺).

Year of Jewelry 2014 ~ Week 12

Another piece with my polymer beads. I have had a pile of them laying around and I figured I should probably use them for something . I really like the color combination. When I made them I was just playing around with combinations and didn't really keep track of the clays I used to get these colors:( So now I am "playing around" again, but this time I am documenting my steps and hopefully I will come up  with the same or, at least similar, color combos. I'm thinking of making more beads for the shop . I plan on doing a bunch of different shapes and thicknesses. Some with holes and some without. What size or shape would you be interested in? Would you prefer the hole to run top to bottom or side to side? Or no hole at all?

Year of Jewelry Weeks 5 & 6

Image
We are starting to see more and more daylight this time of year  and I was getting excited about getting everything prepared for planting seeds indoors for the garden this summer. I WAS excited until I did the math. We still have approximately 15 weeks before we can "safely" plant outdoors and since most of my seeds take  from 6 - 8 weeks to get ready to go outside, I still have 7 weeks before I can even start to plant.... Sigh..... Well, at least I have something to keep me busy until then☺  I am really loving chain maille   and micro-macrame. Both of these beauties are available in the shop . If you haven't checked out the new shop on the new site , you should. It's hip, it's cool, it's purty☺ Let me know what you think☺

The Year of Jewelry Project 2014 ~ Week 4

Image
Been keeping up with the projects but not with the blogging. It's OK. No one is perfect. We all  have room for improvement☺ This is what I finished for Week 4 The jury's still out on the color choices but they do match the colors in the focal bead  I do really like the section at the end.  So much so that I am in the process of making a pair of earrings to match that section☺ Overall I would have to say that I guess I am pretty pleased with the finished product.  I will have it in the store in the next day or two☺ While finishing this piece, I started playing with a chain maille pattern for a bracelet. For Christmas I got a whole set-up for making my own jump rings (Thanks Honey!!) So I have been playing around with the sizes and gauges and such with pre-made jump rings to see what I want to coil and cut. I like this pattern and I think I'm going to go two tone when I cut the jump rings, a combination of ...

Year of Jewelry ~ Week 43

Wow! OK, I have posted 3 times in a week...Hmmmm I could say I'm trying to get better at posting more regularly but that's not necessarily the case. I am, however, still playing catch-up on this little year long project . The project is currently at week 46, I am posting week 43 today. Not too far behind☺ I am SO glad to be finished with this bracelet! I started this months ago.....the first time. I have torn this apart and restarted it 5 TIMES!  Aarg!!! None of them were good enough and each one I liked less than the previous one. Looking back, I honestly believe the first try was the best one. I like this last try least of all, but I am NOT DOING IT AGAIN! I absolutely LOVE the focal, another gorgeous bead from JulsBeads (Pssst.....She's having a sale in her Etsy Shop , by the way☺) and I like the colors of the accent beads, but that's about it. The rest of it, I'm not loving. Except for the fact that it is...

Year of Jewelry ~ Week 13

What with flying out of state for a few days and finishing the photos, etc. for the Big Reveal Day next weekend for the Bead Soup Blog Party  , (I'm in the second reveal on 4/6) and finishing my magnet order, I opted to submit something I was already working on, that I finished this week, rather than try to make something to fit this week's prompt, which was "A Personal Talisman", cuz I just didn't have time☺ Holy crap, could that sentence have been any longer!?? Can you have that many commas in a sentence? Anyway, this is my submission for week 13☺ I love the colors in this one And, once again, my color choices came directly from the focal. Juli has an awesome eye for color. I showed a picture of this one "in progress" to my sister while we were in Washington for the big bash and she decided that it really needed to live in Montana☺ So first thing Monday morning it will be on it's way. Oh! and I ...
